This week at the office was kind of technical —Philip was ready with a new data system update that he’s been setting up. It’s a real step up. Makes downloading files a breeze and, better yet, I can now stream videos straight from the platform. This is super handy since I can catch up on videos while I’m moving around, which is perfect when traveling.
But, I’ve got to admit, I’m dragging a bit with the videos from Estonia. This time of year I’m dealing with my usual stage of winter depression. It rolls around every year and just weighs me down, making even small tasks feel like a slog.
Thankfully, there are a couple of bright spots in my week. The office cats, a pair of white furballs, are always a highlight. They kind of make everything better just by being around. Also, I’m toying with the idea of testing out a microphone Philip has with my camera for interviews—could add a nice touch. And, as always, there’s a heap of translations and text checks to plow through. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s essential, and getting it done feels pretty good. All in all, it’s just another week of trying to balance the professional and personal, hoping to get a handle on both.
