Hello dear ones,
This week we had a lovely chance to have a meeting with a fellow member of the association, Varvara, who was a part of this year’s PDC in COB, Greece. The reason for our meeting was that Varvara’s property, which is a LAND candidate, will probably be the place for which we will write a solidarity project this year. As we have probably mentioned in some of our blogs, with Poli, our first choice was the Ukrainian refugees community in Pernik, where we also made a workshop with the kids in the beginning of June. Unfortunately, they were asked to leave the house where they all lived together as a community and find their own housing. This means that they will no longer function as a community, and it will be very difficult for us to accomplish the project. This is why, our coordinator Mihaela proposed that we make the project with Varvara, who has a finished design for her place that was made during her PDC in COB. It was an interesting conversation and to see a real design for a place that I will hopefully see soon was very inspiring. Bellow I am posting the design for her place:
When I had my midterm evaluation for this project, we wrote some future steps that we plan to make. One of them was making badges for the LAND network. We had a meeting with Mariya from Mezek, my coordinator and I, so we can discuss how to make them. Since Mariya used to work as a graphic designer, she has more experience, so she gave us some good advices. I managed to work on a few of the badges concerning some of the LAND criteria. On the last year’s project, one of the volunteers also worked on this subject but didn’t finish them. Mihaela shared the work he did with us, and there is also some inspiration that we can use while making them anew. I am posting bellow the badges for the following criteria: Education, learning and demonstration; Design; LAND network. Have in mind that this are not the final version, but I would really like to see if people can relate the given criteria with the particular badge.
I hope you have a lovely weekend!
Love,
Marija
