Quiet week for the volunteers in the office of GSV

Hello dear ones,

As the autumn slowly comes knocking on our door, I can also see the slowing down of nature reflect in our lives. That being said, it has been a quiet week in the office of the GSV volunteers. I had the lovely chance to spend more time with our new fellow volunteer Alex, getting to know him both professionally and personally. We were each working on our project, but it was nice having him around and asking for help whenever needed, especially around computers, since it is not my strongest feature (yet).

My project is coming to an end slowly, I only have one month left. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since we started on this journey together. For this reason, we used our meeting with my coordinator to talk about which activities we will do in the upcoming few weeks, in order to meet each other needs, both of the project and mine. I really want to finish up and give a last touch to everything I have already done. I believe it is important to leave the materials that have been created in good shape and form. And also there is the need to do some new things and mini projects, so I don’t spend my time left in what was done in the past.

I had an online meeting with Natasha Marinova, who is one of the founders of Community Garden 1 in Sofia.  Because they received part of the materials that have been created in this project, I asked her for her feedback. She gave me some directions in which they can be improved.

I also started translating one short movie that GSV made during their trip to England. The movie is about the “Scootswood garden” educational center.

As I mentioned in my blog post last week one of our GSV members Varvara, is in Portugal doing a Permaculture Design Course. She is having a great time there, and is really inspired from the process. Bellow I am sharing some of the photos she shared with us so far.

So all in all, that is it for our office adventures this week. I hope you have a beautiful weekend.

Love,

Marija
